OPS is proud to announce a new initiative with Microsoft which will transform the district’s email system – and provide students and families with free software.
The district recently began working with Microsoft on an implementation plan for Office 365, the company’s latest, cutting-edge version of its world-renowned business software. This version of Office is cloud-based, which allows users to access applications and files from virtually anywhere, and on a multitude of devices. District staff are set to begin utilizing Office 365 on October 20th – and team leaders have set up this landing site to assist in the implementation.
The landing site features a variety of content for both employees and students, information about the Microsoft/OPS initiative, fast facts, features lists, a ‘Top Five Things to Know About 365’ list, training opportunities and videos, an implementation timeline, and login information. Additionally, there is information pertaining to Cox Communications’ ‘Connect 2 Compete’ program, which offers low-cost Internet service to qualifying families.
What’s more, the landing page will provide details about one of the most important aspects of the initiative: the Student / Staff Advantage, which will allow every OPS employee and student family to download up to 5 copies of Office 365 for personal use.
District staff are proud to implement this initiative pursuant to the community-driven, board-approved OPS Strategic Plan.
